An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Surgical Assessment unit at the Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. We are looking for qualified nurses with drive and ambition who have a desire to work in a fast paced surgical setting to our join team.

We pride ourselves in delivering safe, high quality care to ensure the patients experience is positive. The unit accepts direct GP referrals where the trained nurse is involved with the assessment and initial treatment of the surgically expected patients.

You will have relevant experience in caring for surgical patients and will thrive in a busy clinical setting. You need to be forward thinking and flexible in your approach to managing change and possess a can do attitude. You will need to be highly motivated, with the ambition to develop yourself. You will have the full support of the unit manager who is keen to develop you so that you may reach your full potential.

You will be expected to attend the Trust’s Induction Programme for RNs, RMs and ODPs (which starts on the first day of employment).  The programme is full-time (please contact the programme lead if this is problematic: nicola.henthorn@nhs.net), lasts for two weeks and will involve travelling to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area and classroom-based study days which run from 9am to 5pm.

Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check at enhanced level. (Enhanced level now includes regulated checks against vulnerable adults and children)
