A new unit in Tunbridge Wells Hospital has been relaunched to accommodate Private patient Day procedures, with a long term plan to increase our Private services in the near future. This creates an exciting opportunity for a staff nurse to join our team. Our vision is to provide high standards of patient care, with the added benefit of any profits made being ploughed back into the National Health Service.

We require someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as an organised person with a positive attitude who is flexible and proactive. We are a very friendly team and all enjoy working in our new environment.

Tunbridge Wells Hospital is the first NHS hospital in England to provide single rooms with on-suite facilities. Come and join us in a modern state of the art hospital and you will be given all the support and training you need in to develop and progress.

Tunbridge Wells’ hospital is located within a short distance of a vibrant and thriving town with historical sites, excellent schools, the pantiles shops and theatres. The area has good transport links to both London and the surrounding areas providing easy access to Kent the garden of England.
The Wells Suite Day Unit is part of the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust and is a separate unit with single rooms, pre-assessment clinic and Consultation rooms. Offering services for Private patients in a variety of specialities including medicine and day surgery.

We are looking for a Staff Nurse who is dedicated and passionate about providing the best possible care for their patients who will share our vision and values in best practice.

You will be expected to attend the Trust’s Induction Programme for RNs, RMs and ODPs (which starts on the first day of employment).  The programme is full-time (please contact the programme lead if this is problematic: nicola.henthorn@nhs.net), lasts for two weeks and will involve travelling to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area and classroom-based study days which run from 9am to 5pm.

Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check at enhanced level. (Enhanced level now includes regulated checks against vulnerable adults and children)
