FIXED TERM CONTRACT for up to one year

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialty Doctor to complement our lower grade rota and provide cover for the Obstetrics & Gynaecology service.

The Trust consists of the Tunbridge Wells Hospital and Maidstone Hospital and serves a population of approximately 500,000 people, living in the West Kent and East Sussex areas. The Trust also manages the Kent Cancer Centre at Maidstone and Canterbury.

Service provision for Obstetrics is based at the Tunbridge Wells hospital with Birth Centres adjacent to Maidstone Hospital and in Crowborough. We deliver approximately 5900 babies per annum across the three units. Gynaecology inpatients and most emergencies are treated at Tunbridge Wells Hospital with an early pregnancy service at Maidstone. We also provide a day case service at Maidstone hospital. Outpatient services are at both hospitals.

Flexible working

The Trust has a progressive flexible working policy, which enables staff to meet changing priorities throughout their career.  Flexible working options include:

•             career breaks

•             flexible retirement

•             flexible hours and working practices

•             secondment

•             family friendly policies, such as carers’ leave

•             bank contract

We encourage staff to maintain a positive work-life balance in order to meet the challenges of working for a large acute Trust.  Flexible working is about empowering our staff to offer our patients the best care possible.
