A permanent position has arisen for an enthusiastic, well motivated individual to join our endoscopy team at the Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast paced dynamic working environment with the prospect of advancement in this growing speciality.
We require excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will ideally have a genuine interest in endoscopy and the ability to understand and operate technical equipment.
Endoscopy experience is desirable but not essential as there is a comprehensive in house training programme available where you will work with senior members of the team.
We currently have three endoscopy rooms; we undertake approx 10,000 procedures a year which include upper and lower GI Endoscopy, ERCP’s and Bronchoscopy. The endoscopy at TWH also runs the upper GI emergency rota.
We have JAG accreditation and take part in the national bowel cancer screening programme. You will work with the endoscopy team to provide safe, effective and high quality patient care maintaining standards that meet the requirements of JAG, the GRS and the CQC.
We invite you to arrange an informal visit to view the Endoscopy department, meet the staff and ask any questions you may have.
You will be expected to attend the Trust’s Induction Programme for RNs, RMs and ODPs (which starts on the first day of employment). The programme is full-time (please contact the programme lead if this is problematic: firstname.lastname@example.org), lasts for two weeks and will involve travelling to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area and classroom-based study days which run from 9am to 5pm.
