The Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS trust currently care for approximately 500,000 people in the Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells area. The Trust operates from two primary sites; our new state of the art Tunbridge Wells Hospital, the first all single room NHS hospital in England, and Maidstone Hospital.

Ideally situated between the Kent coastline and the capital, the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells area is a great place to live and work, combining the excitement of the town with the beautiful rural environment of the Kent countryside.

Maidstone Hospital is also home to the Kent Oncology Centre, one of the leading cancer treatment centres in the southeast. The cancer centre treats over 7,000 new patients a year from Kent and East Sussex, and was among the first nationally to benefit from a £4.7 million new treatment system that targets and treats tumours with pinpoint accuracy. The Centre is highly regarded for the excellent care it provides and for its work with major pharmaceutical companies in conducting vital research to support the development of new cancer treatments.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Breast Care Support Worker to join our team of Breast Care Specialist Nurses for a period of 16 weeks on secondment or on a fixed term contract. The post holder will provide supportive care for patients diagnosed with breast cancers and assist the existing clinical team. They will work with the multi-disciplinary teams and the wider teams in supporting patients throughout their treatment pathway, providing individualized, compassionate and informed patient care. This is a full time post working cross site at both hospitals.
