The Oncology Pharmacy Team benefits from a high profile within the Kent Cancer Centre and the Kent & Medway Cancer Network. We are always striving to move forward in order to meet the demands and challenges of an ever-evolving service.

You will work within a team of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants providing clinical pharmacy services to Oncology and Haematology patients including clinical trials and aseptic dispensing.

We are focused on maintaining and improving safety, quality and performance and as a pharmacy department we are open to new and innovative ways of working and providing quality patient care.

Following the implementation of the electronic prescribing and the reconfiguration of our service, we have been successful and currently have new posts.

We are keen to re-launch our service across the two sites and this post would enable the successful candidates to develop their skills in the area of Aseptic Manufacturing gaining experience at the Oncology Centre and at the Tunbridge Wells Hospital.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our friendly and progressive Aseptic Team and the successful candidate would lead in Quality Assurance. We are therefore looking for a candidate who has previous knowledge of working in a GMP and or QA related environment to join our team.

You will report to the Senior Aseptic Services Manager and be responsible for managing the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Service Level Agreements (SLA) within Pharmacy Technical Services and QA departments.

You will also be responsible for a variety of QA tasks including carrying out personnel accreditation for staff, assisting with temperature monitoring, environmental monitoring,  pharmacy archiving and other QA/QC support. The post holder will also be required, along with other members of the team, to write short reports, update procedures, follow up change controls, deviations and CAPAs and carry out project work. They will also have an opportunity to participate in the training of rotational Pre-registration Technicians and Pharmacists within the department.
