“Come and join our Oncology Pharmacy Team and help us to make a difference to cancer patients”

The Oncology Pharmacy Team benefits from a high profile within the Kent Cancer Centre and the Kent & Medway Cancer Network. We are always striving to move forward in order to meet the demands and challenges of an ever-evolving service.

Working in the Cancer Centre will allow you to become familiar with cutting edge therapies and gain understanding on how drugs are commissioned in the NHS.

You will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced oncology pharmacists re-shaping clinical pharmacy services in Oncology and Haematology. You will also benefit from working with a highly established Clinical Trials Pharmacy team.

We are focused on maintaining and improving safety, quality and performance and as a pharmacy department we are open to new and innovative ways of working and providing quality patient care.

There is a fully implemented chemotherapy electronic prescribing system and we are currently in the process of securing funding to transfer our Aseptic Unit to the Tunbridge Wells site.

You will be a highly motivated Pharmacist with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to plan and work independently as well as being a good team player with the ability to persuade and influence other healthcare professionals. A postgraduate training in clinical pharmacy and/or suitable experience in hospital, in the field of Oncology and/or Haematology are desirable but not essential.
