We are seeking a Senior Radiotherapy Engineer to join the Physics Engineering Section of the Medical Physics Department based in the Kent Oncology Centre at Maidstone Hospital.

You will be an enthusiastic Electronics Engineer with proven electronics experience and technical expertise looking to join our busy Physics Engineering section, to deliver a high quality maintenance and repair service to a range of Oncology / Diagnostic X-Ray Equipment - mainly Varian, Philips, Siemens, and IGE.

You should have recent knowledge of Oncology/ X-Ray or Radar equipment maintenance, ideally gained from working with one of the major equipment manufacturers.

However, applicants with less experience are encouraged to apply because training will be provided and the job description modified accordingly & successful completion of the training will mean progression to Band 7.

The post represents an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who is looking for a chance to further their expertise into this high tech field of Linear Accelerators.

This post is nominally a 37.5 hour week although the nature of the work requires flexibility with some evenings and weekend work.

If you can combine proven technical competence with excellent interpersonal and team working skills and would enjoy working in the ‘Garden of England’ then we can offer a very competitive salary which will fully reflect your level of skill and experience.

Prospective candidates are strongly encouraged to discuss the position with Guy Page, Head of Physics Engineering on 01622225000. Informal visits are also welcome.

Interview date: Wednesday 8th March 2018
