The HISbi Data Warehousing department is looking for a motivated SQL developer to join the team for twelve months covering a period of maternity leave to be involved in the extraction, building and maintenance of datasets from a multitude of NHS and public sector systems to help improve patient care and outcomes in Kent & Medway

HISbi is a department within Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust that carries out data warehousing services for NHS and other public sector organisations throughout Kent and Medway as well as organisations in other counties.  The HISbi data warehouse is a comprehensive store of NHS and other data from the majority of NHS organisations in Kent and Medway, and beyond and is highly regarded both locally and nationally – particularly for its work in the area of linking datasets from numerous organisations for population health management purposes.

HISbi provides services to organisations’ Information Management services to promote communication and develop information technology solutions to support NHS staff, patients and the general public. The aim is to modernise and increase efficiency in the NHS, locally and nationally.

The successful candidate will maintain and improve current datasets and warehousing processes as well as developing processes for new datasets as required. The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate uploading of data as well as looking at innovative ways of improving current processes.

It is essential that you have a good working experience of data warehousing, preferably using SQL Server 2012/2016 and SSIS. A background of NHS information reporting would be an advantage. You will be expected to liaise closely with the originators and users of the data to achieve strict deadlines and to work on your own initiative.
