Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the south east of England. The Trust provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 560,000 people living in the south of West Kent and the north of East Sussex. It is also home to the main base of Kent Oncology Centre, which provides complex radiotherapy and chemotherapy for patients throughout Kent and North East Sussex.
We are currently recruiting for a Breast site specialist within the Radiotherapy department at Kent & Canterbury Hospital
This is an exciting post which will give you the opportunity to manage the breast patients’ pathway ensuring all aspects of care are delivered to the highest possible standard. Your specialist knowledge in breast radiotherapy will be recognized as a resource for all other health professionals. You will be expected to work at advanced level assisting the clinical oncologists to support the patient through the treatment journey and beyond.
You will be working closely with other site specialists on both sites.
Evidence of an ‘M’ level award or working towards for ‘On treatment review,and ‘Informed consent is desirable

The Kent Oncology Centre comprises two departments: one at Maidstone set in the heart of the Kent countryside and the other in Canterbury, a historic city close to the North Kent coast. They both offer easy access to London and the Channel tunnel.
Kent Oncology Centre currently comprises:
- Pre-treatment service with CT/sim/3D planning with virtual simulation
- 9 Varian Linear Accelerators across the two sites including True Beam units
- Assistant practitioner and consultant radiographer posts
- Multi-disciplinary team working
- Radiotherapist led services
- Macmillan information and support services
Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check at enhanced level. (Enhanced level now includes regulated checks against vulnerable adults and children)
